Connecting a calendar: Sign in to Google or Outlook and tick the calendars you want involved. iCloud asks for an app-specific password from your Apple account, once. Some work accounts need an administrator to approve new apps.
Sharing more than busy: Busy-only is the default. Titles, guests, notes and locations are switched on per sync, by you, and off again the same way.
A slot did not appear on a booking link: Usually a rule doing its job: a buffer, a notice period, a daily cap, or a calendar selected for the link that is busy then.
Export, deletion and billing: Export your data, disconnect a calendar, delete your account, change plan and download invoices from inside the app.

What is BusyWait?: BusyWait is a calendar sync and booking-link tool. It connects the calendars you already have — Google, Outlook or iCloud — and keeps them in step, so booking something in one blocks the time out in all the others. By default a mirrored event carries only a start time, an end time and the status busy: no title, no guest list, no notes. It runs in any web browser.
Which calendars does BusyWait sync?: Google Calendar (personal Gmail and Workspace accounts), Outlook (Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com), and Apple iCloud Calendar. You can mix providers and accounts freely — BusyWait does not care whose calendar it is, and there is no limit on combining work and personal ones.
Does BusyWait copy my event titles between calendars?: Not unless you ask it to. By default the only thing that crosses between calendars is the time and the status busy — the title, guest list, location, description and video link all stay in the calendar the event was created in. You can switch titles, guests, notes or locations on for a specific sync if that particular pair of calendars warrants it, but it is always a decision you make, per sync, and never the default.
What data does BusyWait store?: Your email address, an encrypted access token per connected calendar, the names of your calendars, the start and end times of events in synced calendars, an opaque ID linking an event to its mirrors, and any bookings made through your links. Titles, guest lists and notes are not stored or copied unless you switch them on for a sync. How is BusyWait different from Calendly, OneCal or Reclaim?: BusyWait does two things: it keeps your calendars honest with each other, and it gives you a booking link that checks the calendars selected for it. There is no notetaker, no transcript, no assistant reading your inbox, and nothing in your calendar is used to train a model. How quickly do calendars sync?: Changes usually show up in your other calendars within minutes. That depends on each calendar provider passing the change on, so it is a typical figure and not a guarantee.
Can I use BusyWait with several clients or work accounts?: Yes, and that is the case it was built for. Consultants, contractors and fractional operators often end up in several organisation calendars that cannot be merged. Mirror each one into your own and every client sees an honest picture of when you are free, while learning nothing at all about the others — each sync is a separate connection with its own direction and its own settings.
Does BusyWait record or transcribe my meetings?: No. There is no notetaker, no recording bot that joins your calls, no transcript and no AI summary — there is no model of any kind in the product, and there never will be. BusyWait never asks for access to your email either. It is plumbing between calendars and has no opinions about what happens in your meetings.
Is BusyWait free?: There is a free plan that keeps two calendars in sync both ways, busy-only. It is free and not time-limited. The paid plans, Pro and Team, add more calendars and syncs, booking links, buffers and notice periods, optional per-sync sharing of titles or guests, and API access. Each paid plan starts with a seven-day free trial, one per person every 12 months.
How do booking links work?: You share one link and the person picks a time. Before a slot is offered it is checked against the calendars selected for that link. Every calendar you have connected is selected by default, and you can deselect one; a deselected calendar is not part of the check. Whoever is booking sees the free slots and nothing about what is in the way — no titles, no counts, no shape to the rest of your week. Booking links are part of the paid plans, Pro and Team.
What happens if a calendar stops syncing?: BusyWait tells you. If a connection stops and will not recover by itself, it is marked as needing attention and you get an email naming the calendar. BusyWait does not silently drop changes, and it changes or removes only the blocks it created, so an event you made is not altered or deleted. Does BusyWait have an API?: Yes, on the paid plans, Pro and Team. The free plan does not include API access.
